Product safety
Regulation (EU) 2023/988 on general product safety (GPSR)
Report an unsafe product
If a product you bought or are considering buying looks unsafe, tell us immediately. We act on reports about listings, and we cooperate with the market-surveillance authorities of every member state.
Single contact point for product safety

This contact point is also the address for market-surveillance authorities and for the Safety Business Gateway.
What the seller must show
Every listing for a physical product must identify the manufacturer and, where the manufacturer is outside the EU, the EU responsible person — with an address — plus any safety warning or instruction the product carries and, where there is one, the model, batch or serial number. These appear in the listing's Product safety section. If a listing you are looking at does not show them, tell us.
What we do with a report
- We assess the listing and, where the risk is credible, withdraw it from the catalogue.
- A withdrawn listing keeps its record. Its page stays reachable and says the product was withdrawn — deleting it would erase the evidence that it was offered.
- We inform the seller and, where the law requires it, the authority that asked us to act.
- We tell everyone who bought the product through us, using the contact details on the order.
Recalls
If you think a product you bought may be subject to a recall, contact us at the address above and we will pass the information to the seller and, where relevant, to the authority.
