Portugal 2 Euro 2009 Second Portuguese-Speaking Games UNC

The coin was issued on the occasion of the games held for Portuguese-speaking countries. It depicts a gymnast twirling a long ribbon in a spiral. At the top is the Portuguese coat of arms and the name of the issuing country - "PORTUGAL". At the bottom is the inscription "2.os JOGOS DA LUSOFONIA LISBOA", between the initials "INCM" on the left and the artist's name "J. AURÉLIO" on the right. Above the gymnast the year "2009" is inscribed. The outer ring of the coin depicts the 12 stars of the European Union on a background of concentric circles.
