Slovenia 2 Euro 2021 200th Anniversary Carniola Museum UNC

The image is inspired by the frieze lines of the Vače Situla — one of the most beautiful artifacts of this type of art. These lines symbolize the different historical eras preserved for future generations in the museum. The image shows the historical layers of the museum in the form of the different names it has had over its 200-year history. The names are inscribed in concentric lines, as they would be inscribed on the Vače Situla. The image includes the name of the state "SLOVENIJA" and the year of issue "2021". The outer ring of the coin depicts the 12 stars of the European Union.
