Žetons Weiterspiel

Weiterspiel token, nickel-plated steel, 26.7/1.7 mm, about 6.0 grams. Amusement, arcade or gaming machine token, Germany. Weiterspiel-Marke is a German gaming token (for gaming and arcade machines), used mainly in Germany (FRG).
The concentric circle: This embossed ring around the square hole (called Rille in German) is placed with an important mechanical function. Besides reinforcing the metal structure around the hole, it helps the mechanism in the machine to center the token correctly. When the token falls into the slot, an internal thumb or rail fits along this concentric groove to confirm that the thickness and relief exactly match the standard. The hole is made for mechanical recognition by the coin mechanism of the gaming machine, so that it cannot be replaced with ordinary coins or other tokens.
