Lithuania 2 Euro 2019 - Lithuanian Ethnographic Regions - Samogitia UNC

Depicted is a bear standing on its hind legs, with a chain around its neck. The bear has been an element of the coat of arms of Samogitia since the 16th century. It is depicted on a shield, upon which a crown is placed. The shield is held by a soldier in armor (a symbol of courage, self-sacrifice, and patriotism) and a goddess holding an anchor (a symbol of hope). Below them is an inscription in Latin: "PATRIA UNA" (one homeland). Around the image are placed the inscriptions "LIETUVA" (Lithuania) and "ŽEMAITIJA" (Samogitia), the year of issue "2019", and the mark of the Lithuanian Mint. On the outer ring of the coin are depicted the 12 stars of the European Union.
