Latvia 100th Anniversary of International De Jure Recognition of Latvia UNC

On January 26, 1921, Latvian diplomats succeeded in accomplishing a grand task – the great world powers recognized Latvia de jure. Although Latvia declared its independence on November 18, 1918, the new nation was recognized only after fierce battles in 1920. The design features the artistic inscription "100 Latvija de iure 2021" and contains the name of the state (LATVIJA), as well as the year of issue (2021). The outer ring of the coin depicts the 12 stars of the European Union.
