Spain 2 Euro 2012 - Tenth Anniversary of Euro Banknotes and Coins UNC

Description: The inner circle of the coin features the design chosen by the citizens and residents of the euro area for the 2012 common commemorative coin. It is the work of Helmut Andexlinger of the Austrian Mint and depicts the world with the euro symbol at its centre – a sign of how, over the past ten years, the euro has become a genuine global factor. The surrounding elements symbolise the importance of the euro for ordinary people (represented as a family), the financial world (the Eurotower building), trade (a ship), industry (a factory), energy and research and development (two wind turbines). The designer's initials "A.H." are placed (very discreetly) between the ship and the Eurotower building. Along the top and bottom edges of the inner circle are inscribed, respectively, the issuing country and the years "2002 – 2012". The coin is issued by all euro area countries. The outer ring of the coin depicts the 12 stars of the European Union.
